To frame the driveway and patio, we laid charcoal blocks along the perimeter. We used the same bricks to follow the line of the house and the steps at the front and side doors as well as the flowing curved shape of the patio at the back of the house. This nicely defined the space.
We built a wall out of red engineering brick to match the property. This was along the front and down the side of the driveway. In addition, we built a curved wall to separate the patio from the lawn. The softer edges were perfect for a more relaxed feel at the back of the house. We added Staffordshire blue bricks on the top of the over sail which complemented the grey brick trim around the edge of the resin bound aggregate.
