No Fines Concrete Day!
From a Disused Pub to Beautiful Home with a Stunning Driveway!
New World Resin recently revisited a property where we had originally been to put down a permeable bed of no fines concrete along the front of the house and to the side of the new outbuildings.
The property had previously been a pub that has now been converted into a house. There was a large expanse at the front of the property that had been a concrete car park, which we changed to a permeable new resin bound driveway in Northwich. This was done by adding gravel and resin to the area.
We put a 6-in kerb along the front of the threshold of the new resin bound driveway in Northwich and added resin bound aggregate in ocean pearl blend. We also laid the same resin bound aggregate blend along the front of the house and outbuildings, on top of the no fines concrete that we had previously laid.
In addition, we put down a weed membrane and covered the rest of the new resin bound driveway in Northwich in black ice gravel. This nicely complemented the ocean pearl aggregate while producing enough of a contrast to give interest.
We also added a raised area with KL charcoal coloured kerb blocks and covered this area with turf to add some greenery. This created a lovely contrast with the driveway. Including this enhances the curb appeal by giving the overall appearance a more natural look. It takes away the harshness that a concrete surface can have and adds a bit of character.
